Diners eat York County farm food on city street
Local organizations hosted their first Farm to City Dinner.

Kris McElligott and her husband, John, sat down with friends at a table in the middle of North Beaver Street for Sunday dinner.
"We need to do this every month," said Kris McElligott.
The menu for the Farm to City Dinner included slow-roasted pork, tomato-apple chutney and rutabaga mash.
The majority of the ingredients came from York County farms, organizers said. Diners ate outside Central Market in York.
"I love the fact that, for one, I think we're bridging that gap between the county and the city," John McElligott, 34, said. "A lot of people in the county don't realize ... all the amazing things that are happening. And I think it's the responsibility of the people in the city to let them know." more...
