Bring food curiosity, poncho to Alton Brown's sold-out Pullo Center show

Alton Brown will have a full plate in York.
The Food Network star's live show Feb. 19 sold out Penn State York's Pullo Family Performing Arts Center.
Marketing and sales director Chris Beaverson said Pullo staff researched Brown's "Edible Inevitable Tour." They liked what they saw, called the agent and booked it...
And the York area has seen a spike in foodie fare.
In the last two years, celebrity chef Robert Irvine and Food Network personality Ina Garten appeared at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center. YorKitchen in Central Market started hosting Chef Challenges, which resemble the cooking show "Chopped." The area followed local chef Jon Scallion on "Hell's Kitchen." And York hosted its first Foodstruck food truck event....
