What is YorKitchen?

     

YorKitchen is a shared commercial kitchen incubator available for rent which consists of two physical parts the Rojahn Performance Kitchen (pictured on the left) and the Production Kitchen (pictured on the right). The Rojahn Performance Kitchen is available to rent for meeting space or to market your culinary business to Central Market patrons. It is also where we have cooking demonstration and kids' activities. The Production Kitchen is available to rent by those starting or expanding a culinary business. It is also available for private parties, preparing for private events and dinners. Our special events like 21South and the Chef Challenges are also held in this area.

    York – July 15, 2010 – Local agricultural producers and food entrepreneurs will soon have access to a shared kitchen incubator in downtown York. Many food producers don’t have the resources to build and equip their own certified facility, preventing them from entering the market. The Shared Kitchen Incubator of York (YorKitchen), funded through a grant from USDA Rural Development, will help solve this problem.
